In the Season 4 of 4400 an episode titled Ghost in the Machine has several funny scenes that is well worth watching. The whole episode revolves around a Bill Gates-like character that is running a microsoft-like company that sells the most commonly used OS in the world and that is being attacked by a virus (ie. the Ghost in the Machine). Here's one of the funny scenes where you can see the actor does a good job portraying a Bill Gates-like persona and even blames Steve Jobs as one of the possible causes of his troubles.

Students at the University of Kitakyushu have developed a robot fish that can swim underwater, take photos and survey what it sees. It looks very realistic, except for the eyes. (Watch the video)

Lenovo's U8 IdeaPad is an interesting concept device that combines: touchscreen internet tablet, phone, office productivity, entertainment, imaging, messaging, etc. But the keypad layout seems a bit awkward to me.

Nvidia demoed their new mobile graphics processor, named the Nvidia APX 2500, in a prototype device at MWC in Spain. It looks cool and demonstrates what is possible when graphics chips are embedded in mobile devices. Too bad it seems to only work with windoze mobile currently.

Christopher Schmidt has created a great demo application called accelball that combines the use of Python and the N95 accelerometer into a small game. You can control the ball smoothly by rotating the N95. It demonstrates nicely how the accelerometer can be used in games and applications and specifically how to do so in Python.

So, today, I built a small application to demonstrate the use of the accelerometer built into the Nokia N95. I decided to convert a simple example: the ‘ball.py’ example that ships with Nokia’s distribution of Python for Series 60 (SourceForge).

MTube might be the world's smallest PC, but with a touch screen as small as that I don't see it as being very usable except for maybe watching videos and showing photos to friends.
