2008 CES is keeping the environment in mind. In one of the E-mails they mention what they're doing to decrease and offset negative impacts on the environment:
"Green Your CES Travel

As part of our ongoing environmental efforts, the International CES has committed to reducing its negative impact on the environment wherever we can and offsetting what we cannot avoid.

This means any damage caused to the environment by the show's carbon output will be compensated through CES' donations to renewable energy, energy efficiency and reforestation projects.

Do your part by making a small donation to offset the environmental impact of your travel to CES."

I was going through the photos and video taken with N93i's at CES and found this great self portrait of Todd Schomer. Great photo! Hope that you don't mind me posting it.

On January 12th while waiting for my flight at the Las Vegas Airport there was an incident on another plane. I observed the incident from a short distance away and took a couple of photos of what happened. A NorthWest airline plane was boarded then afew minutes later the passengers were brought back off the plane. Shortly after several police arrived and surrounded the passengers with police tape so that nobody could enter or leave the area. Then other police brought a yellow barricade that surrounded the former passengers. Several police cars arrived outside the airport surrounding the plane. I then left the area because my flight was being called. I later heard that 3 men were arrested for suspicious behaviour on board the plane and the rest of the passengers were brought back to the front of the airport by bus to be rescreened by security.

I found a Nestle Bakery at a mall in Las Vegas.

Dinner at a Brazilian Restaurant in Las Vegas. The way it works: there is a round circle that is green on one side red on the other. When you want meat place the circle green side up then all kinds of meats will be offered to your table. When you are done with meat flip the circle upside down again so that the red side faces up and the meat servings stop. 

The 2007 CES in Las Vegas is over.

The booth has closed after 4 days of technical demos and introducing visitors to the Nokia Nseries so now it is time to pack up.
