Mario Kart Wii Preview Video

This game looks awesome! Back in the day I use to play the original Mario Kart for Super Nintendo. But I didn't like the controls as much on the N64 version and I never got into it on the Gamecube version. However I did like the previous most recent version, Mario Kart DS, that brings back all of the classic tracks from the previous Mario Karts going all the way back to the Super Nintendo version. From the video the gameplay, controls, and battlemodes look like they are more similar to the original for Super Nintendo than the N64 or Gamecube versions and to me that is a good thing. I'm looking forward to seeing other people's reviews when it's released this week in Japan and if it's as good as it looks in the video I'll be picking it up very soon.

"Halo 3" was released this week - did you get a copy?  What are your early thoughts on this final installment of the blockbuster trilogy?

I don't own an xbox 360 so no I didn't get a copy. I have heard that Halo 3 isn't as good as Gears of War though as far as graphics or gameplay. The Totally Rad Show guys gave it an okay review but not great.

I was browsing around the web yesterday and stumbled upon a game named Adonthell. It just so happends that Adonthell is an Open Source Role Playing Game! It is not so often that you find one of those so I downloaded and played it. It is a pretty good RPG, so far I only played some of the beginning to get a feel for the game. The graphics are good 2D hand-drawn-art style, and in the gameplay characters are nice detailed sprites. Also the game has some nice atmospheric RPG music for a soundtrack. There are versions of the game available for GNU/Linux, Mac, and windoze. For more info visit the game's website here.

I read a good article on Bit-Tech that covers gaming on GNU/Linux. It's about time people started relizing PC gaming is not windoze only. You can read the article here.

While visiting my Family in the States I checked the nearest video game store (EB Games) to see how the Wii was selling. I saw this sign on the front of the store. Apparently it is the same situation as Japan with the Wii selling out while the PS3 is not selling well.
